Gadget News: Samsung Galaxy A7 Comes with Three Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched in India in the last week of September. The Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with a triple camera on the rear of the device.

The features of Samsung Galaxy A7

Design

The  Galaxy A7 has an all-glass design. In order to protect the device from damage, it is better to have a protective case and a transparent one at that.

There is no notch since Samsung has opted for the infinity display. The Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with a 6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 X 2220 pixels. On the rear of the device there is a triple camera that is on the top left-hand side aligned vertically.

The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button located on the right. The volume controls are towards the right whereas the SIM and microSD slot is on the top left side.

Towards the bottom of the Samsung Galaxy A7 is a speaker grill, microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. In this device,unfortunately there is no USB Type C port.

UI

The Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with the Android 8.0 Oreo based Samsung Experience 9UI. In the past Samsung devices came with useless apps and a sluggish interface giving it a bloated skin. To do away with that, the Samsung Galaxy A7 does not have many of the apps in order to reduce the bloat and even improve on its performance.

The software however, comes with pre-installed apps and third-party apps. There is also slow UI animations and stutters that do not gel well for the device.

Samsung is providing 100GB worth OneDrive storage space for two years to those have purchased the Samsung Galaxy A7.

Working of Samsung Galaxy A7

The Samsung Galaxy A7 features the Exynos 7885 SoC with an octa-core CPU up to 2.2GHz. The working is good with regards to loading and switching between multiple apps. The performance is good in the day-to day functioning, but it does experience stuttering when it comes to intensive games with regards to the graphics intensive scenes like crashes. Though the device tends to get warm on the upper back part of the device, it does not affect the performance.

When making calls, the audio and connectivity is fairly good. When listening to music, the speaker at the bottom is quite decent.

The 6-inch FHD+ display along with the Super AMOLED produces good colour, decent contrast ratio and vibrancy.

Battery Life

The Samsung Galaxy A7 has a good enough battery life. For medium to heavy usage, the battery lasts for 8-9 hours. In the case of charging from nought, it takes between 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours.

Variants

The Samsung Galaxy A7comes in two variants. One is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage while the other is 6GB RAM and 128Gb internal storage.

Pricing

The lower end model is selling at Rs 23,990 while the high-end version is priced at Rs 28,990
