Panasonic Toughbook 20 puts your old Laptop’ Battery to Shame
Panasonic recently announced the updated kid version of the Toughbook 33 that came out last year. The company has made updates to its 10.1 inch dual laptop/tablet device in the form of Toughbook 20 mark 2. Aimed at being used by the police, military, field service professionals and more, this rugged laptop comes not only with a tough exterior but also with a dual battery that can be swapped on field without any hassles.
Processor in the Panasonic Toughbook 20:
The Panasonic Toughbook 20, 2018 updated version comes with an Intel core i5-7Y57 processor. This updated Panasonic Toughbook 20 has a torbo boost of 3.3GHz as well as some added features.
The Toughbook 20 also comes with the option of selecting an 8GB or 16 GB of RAM and buyers can also choose to opt in for a 615 HD graphics card.
The other Toughbook 20 model offers you the option of getting an Intel core M5-6Y57 vPro processor that has a turbo boost of up to 2.8 GHz as well as the option of getting an Intel 515 HD graphics card.
Second battery with the Panasonic Toughbook 20:
Since the laptop/tablet is aimed at being for the police force, military, on field professionals and so on, the Toughbook 20 also comes with a dual battery with the second battery being stored in the keyboard part of the laptop. This secondary battery can be swapped on field without any problems. The second battery doubles the battery life on the Toughbook 20 by about 20 hours.
The second ‘bridge battery’ adds to the ease in which the battery can be swapped, it does not require the laptop to be shut off or put in hibernation mode to do so.
Additional features on the Panasonic Toughbook 20:
Besides coming with the additional battery, the Panasonic Toughbook updated version also comes with an integrated digitilizer, touchscreen, a rear facing 8MP camera, an infrared web cam, 256GB SSD ( a bump up from the 128 GB in the older model) and a 512 GB SSD magstrip as well as an optional barcode reader.
Again since the Toughbook 20 is meant for being used by on field professionals, the laptop has LTE connectivity with an in-built e-SIM technology.
The dual laptop/tablet mode of the Toughbook 20 can be used singularly as a laptop, bent 180 degrees while in presentation mode or can be detached and used as a tablet.
The Panasonic Toughbook 20 2018 updated version will be available with windows 10 Pro. Panasonic also offers an option of windows 7 Pro on laptops with an Intel Core TM m5-6Y57 processor shipping with only 128 GB in SSD.

The Panasonic Toughbook 20 is not available directly to consumers. To get your hands on one, you need to visit an authorized Panasonic dealer. Purchasing the Panasonic Toughbook 20 will not come cheap to you either with models starting off at $3099.
