LG X4 with 5.3-Inch Display, FingerPrint sensor, HD DMB TV Announced
LG X4 Launched in South Korea
The latest version of the LG device to be launched is the LG X4. In January this year, the South Korean electronics giant, LG had launched the LG X4+.
The X4 is priced at KRW 297,000 approx. Rs. 17,800. The smartphone can be bought through three domestic mobile carriers – SKT, KT and LGU+. The X4 is available in either Black or Gold.
The X4 has the LG Pay and Finger Touch features just like its predecessor; the LG X4+. The LG X4+ did not make it to the Indian market which makes it uncertain whether LG will be launched in India.
Features of the LG X4 Smartphone
The dimensions of the LG X4 are 148.6×75.1×8.6mm and weighs 164 grams.
The X4 has a 5.3 inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels of resolution that is similar to the LG X4+. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear which is just below the camera. With a single tap of the sensor one can take a screenshot or selfie or even make payments via the LG Pay which is the company’s payment option. The user can also use the LG Pay feature by entering your password. Shinhan Card, Lotte Card and Hana Card have partnered with LG in South Korea.
LG X4 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is powered by the entry level Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. It comes with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of eMMC internal storage. There is also a facility of increasing the storage by using a microSD card to a massive 2TB. X4 has HD DMB support for mobile TV experience and it comes with a 3000mAh replaceable Li-ion battery.
With regards to the camera, the LG X4 comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera sensor with LED flash and 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. The device has connectivity options that include Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio, WiFi and a Micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The X4 also has a 3.5mm audio jack.

The main feature of the X4 is it supports LG Pay that rivals the Samsung Pay in South Korea. Payments can be made by the users with the fingerprint scanner. The LG Pay feature is currently not available in the Indian market.
The price of the X4 is fairly steep and hence LG may not consider launching the smartphone in other competitive markets.
According to the Director of Mobile Marketing at LG Electronics, the LG X4 comes with some specific convenient features and it will be a good alternative for those who are looking for a mid-priced smartphone.
