Amazfit T-Rex is finally here in India. The company that makes the Smart Watch debuted at CES 2020 with the Amazfit T-Rex back in January. They planned on launching the smartwatch sometime in March but had to reschedule due to the lockdown. Now finally, after months, the company is finally ready to launch its new watch.

A little Jist on Huami:

Huami, the company that makes Amazfit T-Rex, is the biggest smart watch manufacturer in the country. In Q1 it had a market share of 22.4% which was more than what Apple and Fossil had at the time. Apple had 17.7% while Fossil had 17.4% market share.

However when it comes to running third party applications, Apple is the clear leader. With the Amazfit T-Rex smart watch in tow Huami is even widening the lead now. To know why read on further. The watch will be available for purchase on Amazon India or from the company’s own website- Amazfit.com. gradually the company will release the watch for purchase through online stores sometime next week.

Design of the Amazfit T-Rex By Huami:

The watch comes in a rugged design. The watch is of MIL-STD- 810 standard. This means that the watch is military standard and can withstand all the elements, be it wind, rain, hail or shine. The watch can also withstand high temperature areas, salt, probably from sweat and other challenging outdoor conditions that you can think of. It can also stand any rapid weather changes for two hours from -40 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius. So at least your watch may survive but not you.

After all the weather changes, the Amazfit T-Rex smart watch is also resistant to water up to 5ATM. Besides all this the smart watch comes in with 14 sports mode options.

Screen on the Smartwatch:

The watch comes with an AMOLED display in 1.3 inches and an always on display feature. The screen comes in a resolution of 360×360 and is protected with Gorilla Glass 3.  The gadget also comes with a 390 mAh battery that can last up to 20 days on a single charge, claims the company.

The Amazfit T-Rex also comes with heart rate monitoring, curtesy of the optical sensor sitting inside the hood. It also comes with a three axis acceleration sensor, an ambient light sensor and geomagnetic sensor.

Other Specifications on the Amazfit T-Rex Smart watch:

The smart watch also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 LE and GPS + GLONASS. The watch is capable of connecting to your phone if it happens to run Android OS 5 and above or iOS 10. 0 or later. Like all smart watches, this watch too can give you alerts of incoming calls, text messages, app updates and calendar and other events.

As for the heart rate monitor, It gives high precision reading for 24h along with heart rate interval values and abnormal heart rate warning  which comes with the BioTracker PPG optical sensor.
